MarchingOrder

Sonoma State University partners with MarchingOrder to assist with reading graduate names at the Commencement ceremony. You will receive an email from commencement@reply-to.sonoma.edu via marchingorder.com. Keep an eye out for this important email, which will provide graduates with information on how to register for their Commencement ceremony. Each graduate will be provided a unique link to register. The deadline to complete this is Monday, April 22.

Ticketing

Tickets are only needed inside Weill Hall. Each graduate is allotted two tickets inside Weill Hall during the ceremony. Unlimited seating is available on the Weill Lawn for additional friends and family members.

Claim your tickets online.

Using the link above, click the SSU LOGIN button and log in with your SSU credentials. All eligible graduates will have the opportunity to claim their tickets until Monday, May 13 at 5 p.m. If you are having any issues with the link above, please be sure to clear any cache and log out of all existing browser logins. If you have any questions, you can contact commencement@sonoma.edu.

Once claimed, tickets will be sent via email as a PDF document. This PDF can be forwarded to your friends and family for easy access. Each ticket will include a unique barcode that can only be used once. It's crucial to emphasize with friends and family that multiple prints of the same ticket will not be valid. Please ensure that guests are aware of this to avoid any inconvenience on the day of your ceremony.

There is unlimited seating outside on the Weill Lawn. Tickets are not needed for outdoor seating. The lawn will have a “front row” view of what takes place on the stage via the Jumbotron located outside the hall, and the state-of-the-art sound system will ensure each graduate’s name will be heard by all. Folding chairs will be available on the lawn for seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

All ticketed guests must be in their seats 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony or their tickets will be forfeited.

We will also have a standby line. Your guests can choose to wait in the standby line to fill unclaimed seats inside Weill Hall. Please note there is no guarantee that guests in the standby line will be able to sit in the hall, as open seats are filled as available, first come, first served.

Regalia Rental Information

Graduates can order SSU graduation products, including caps and gowns, through the Herff Jones website. If you believe you are graduating with honors and/or distinction, please verify with your school prior to securing your regalia.
