Commencement Ticketing Distribution Issue Resolved

The 2025 Commencement Logistics Committee informs 2025 graduates that the recent Commencement ticket distribution issue has been identified and resolved.

Dear Sonoma State University Graduating Class of 2025,

Early Tuesday morning, we became aware of a ticketing issue impacting our Commencement ticket distribution. We identified the cause of the issue and it is now resolved. You are now able to claim your tickets using the link below. If you had already obtained your tickets, you will need to re-obtain them. Any tickets obtained prior to the issue will not be valid on the day of your Commencement ceremony.

Tickets are only needed inside Weill Hall. Each graduate is allotted two (2) tickets inside Weill Hall during the ceremony. Unlimited seating is available on the Weill Lawn for additional friends and family members.

CLICK HERE TO CLAIM YOUR TICKETS.

Using the link above, click the SSU LOGIN button and log in with your SSU credentials. All eligible graduates will have the opportunity to claim their tickets until Monday, May 12 at 5:00 pm. If you are having any issues with the link above, please be sure to clear any cache and log out of all existing browser logins. If you have any questions, you can contact commencement@sonoma.edu.

Once claimed, tickets will be sent via email as a PDF document. This PDF can be forwarded to your friends and family for easy access. Each ticket will include a unique barcode that can only be used once. It's crucial to emphasize with friends and family that multiple prints of the same ticket will not be valid. Please ensure that guests are aware of this to avoid any inconvenience on the day of your ceremony.

There is unlimited seating outside on the Weill Lawn. Tickets are not needed for outdoor seating. The lawn will have a “front row” view of what takes place on the stage via the Jumbotron located outside the hall, and the state-of-the-art sound system will ensure each graduate’s name will be heard by all. Folding chairs will be available on the lawn for seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

All ticketed guests must be in their seats 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony or their tickets will be forfeited.

We will also have a standby line. Your guests can choose to wait in the standby line to fill unclaimed seats inside Weill Hall. Please note there is no guarantee that guests in the standby line will be able to sit in the hall, as open seats are filled as available, first come, first served.
