Ticketing & MarchingOrder

MarchingOrder

Sonoma State University partners with MarchingOrder to assist with reading graduate names at the Commencement ceremony. You will be receiving an email from commencement@sonoma.edu via marchingorder.com. Keep an eye out for this important email that will provide graduates with information about how to register for your Commencement ceremony. Each graduate will be provided a unique link to register. The deadline to complete this is Friday, April 21.

Ticketing

Tickets are only needed inside Weill Hall. Each graduate is allotted 2 tickets inside Weill Hall for their friends and family. School of Education graduates will be allotted 4 tickets inside Weill Hall for their friends and family.

There is unlimited seating outside on the Weill Lawn. Tickets are not needed for outdoor seating. The lawn will have a “front row” view of what takes place on the stage via the jumbotron located outside the hall, and the state-of-the-art sound system will ensure each graduate’s name will be heard by all. Folding chairs will be available on the lawn for seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

All ticketed guests must be in their seats 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony or their tickets will be forfeited.

We will also have a standby line. Your guests can choose to wait in the standby line to fill unclaimed seats inside Weill Hall. Please note there is no guarantee that guests in the standby line will be able to sit in the hall, as open seats are filled as available, first come, first served.

Tickets for Weill Hall (indoor seating) will be made available in April (a schedule is listed below). You will be given one full day to pick up your allotted tickets at the Student Center while the Student Center is open. YOU MUST BRING A PHOTO ID CARD TO PICK UP YOUR TICKETS (your name on your ID must match your name listed in MySSU).
